If I get a GPS program and want text to voice, I presume that I want an FM transmitter to connect to my iPhone 3G S so I can hear it over my stereo.

I have seen two that I am interested in:
1. the so-called 'hands free transmitter' sold my Canadasafe drive
and
2. the 'tiny mitey' one that clicks onto the bottom of the iPhone in the USB connector.
Note: I do not have an 'aux' or mp3 input

Questions:
...is there a difference in sound quality between the two? I have a car charger and iPhone holder so I don't need the entire charger/holder/transmitter contraption but since it is plugged in via the headphone jack I wonder if it is better quality sound
...will both of these mute the radio when the GPS is giving voice directions? In fact, will the directions come over the car radio at all?

Thanks
