hey guys,,
i bought an iPhone 6P for a friend of mine ..
he made an icloud account and turned FMI one ..
now after 2 months of using the device he forgot the iCloud password ..
that's normal and happens for the most of ppl ..
but what's not .. is although i can see with my eyes that FMI is turned ON in settings ..
icloud.com/activationlock .. insists that device's FMI is turned OFF !!!!
i've checked with both IMEI and SN .. it gives me same result .. Find My IPhone: OFF .. !!
i can't really understand what is that .. and i want to reset the device ..
but i can't take adventure with my friend's device ..

can someone explains what is that ??

Forgetting the password is not really normal and doesn't happen to most people. There are way to reset it too if needed.

That said, not sure why there's a discrepancy between the online check and what's on the phone. However, whatever the reasoning might be for that, it seems like the phone is Activation Locked and not much can be done about it without the password.
