Specifically, my Do Not Disturb focus mode randomly and consistently turns off sometimes too soon and sometimes later than scheduled. It’s happened many times. Wife reports the same. The result is I will get phone calls at 8am, when DND is scheduled to turn off at 9am. Or, DND stays on well past the time it should turn off. Anyone else noticing this? I’ve already done a reset and restore. Not running beta.

My "Bedtime" Focus turns back off on iPad. iPhone, all Foci work correctly.

"Bedtime" gets triggered by iPhone. Some nights stays on on iPad, others, might turn off at random times, but generally within first hour of turning on.

If I trigger on iPad, sticks on all devices.

Trying a couple of things. Have an Automation setup on iPad to catch the Focus turning off during scheduled down time. Will also turn off today "Share Across Devices" option on both devices and have iPad trigger "Bedtime" on its own (don't care or need the other Foci for iPad and being enabled when phone does, primarily an iPhone thing for me).

Started with initial iOS 16 release for iPhone. Thought it might be some incompatibility between iPadOS 15 and iOS 16 and iCloud. But not OS, as I reset the iPad to factory and setup as new. If something with iCloud, it's stuck/broken there with no idea how to unstick.

I have the issue that I‘m using a location based work focus and a driving focus (using CarPlay or Bluetooth connection) which doesn‘t seem to turn off Focus modes properly.

Whenever I arrive at work, my Work Focus turns on correctly (and also turns off properly when I e.g. take a walk during lunch and venture far enough to leave the zone). When I get into my car to drive home (which is inside of the work zone), it turns on driving mode but usually returns to a semi-stuck Work Focus when I exit my car at home (Work Focus icon stuck in the status bar, background is reverted to my normal one but it still shows the Work Focus as active and also suppresses notifications like it‘s active).

What a mess.

So, with all devices with "Share Across Devices" turned off, my bedtime Focus stayed on until 6:58am when it turned off by itself. Was scheduled for 7:00am. Improvement, maybe: need to see at least a few days of working sorta correctly.

Focus turned off but left the icon for the Focus in the banner of the iPad. Toggled on/off a different Focus on the iPad: icon gone, however when I booted my Mac, the Focus I toggled on iPad turned on on the Mac. Arggg!

ADD: and the next day, Bedtime on iPad turned off minutes after going on. So, last night, removed the original Focus, created a new one with same settings. That one, at least for one day, is working. Will see if can get two nights in a row.

11/21/2022: Turning off "Share Across Devices" on my iDevices seems to have solved my problems. iPad is staying in Bedtime Focus throughout the night and turning on and off at correct time. Ditto iPhone (though that was not a having problems).

Yeah, my DND is set to turn off at 6 am weekdays and 7 am weekends, and it's totally hit or miss whether it turns off at 6 am. This morning, it absolutely did not and I had to manually toggle it off when I got up. DND reported to me it was set to be in place until 7 am.

I initially had this same issue until I set up my Weekend Days to Every Fri and Sat, and my Weekday Days to Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thurs.
If you use Sat and Sun as the weekend, that DND starts Sat night ending Sunday morning, and Sunday Night ending Monday morning.

Huh. I'll give that a try and see what happens. Thanks for the tip.

Has this improved for anyone? I have a Work focus that is supposed to turn on between 08:00 and 05:30. I turned off Smart Activation two days ago, and it still doesn't turn on when it should.
