Focus Pixels question

Has anyone played around with the focusing on the cameras? The "focus pixel" feature is GREAT on the normal video mode, but I noticed when I turned on 60FPS it's a lot slower, sometimes not even focusing at all.

Is there a reason for this? Any photography experts here?
