Folder Actions in Automator

I know there's tutorials out there but for some reason I can't get it to work right or find one that does specifically what I want it to do. Basically I want to give my download folder several actions to organize something when I download it. Music, videos, PDF's, torrents, etc. I was unable to get it to work. It would drop all files into the music folder even if they were other file types. If anyone knows a tutorial that's more specific or any tips I would appreciate it. I'm aware this is somewhat of a lazy question but I don't have time for trial and error. That being said, please don't waste my time with unhelpful posts.
