We are using Time Capsule to store our photos. As I'm trying to sync them to multipe OSX and iOS devices, I did set up folder actions (i. E. "when photo added to folder 'photos', import new photo into iPhoto" on each Mac). However, the import seems very unreliable / random. Sometimes the import occurs when I close down or open iPhoto, other times newly added photos aren't being imported at all. Could this have something to do with them being stored on time capsule as opposed to an internal drive?

I seem to remember that in earlier versions of Mac OS (not sure if OS X or Classic), Folder Actions would only be triggered for folders that were currently open in Finder. Maybe that's still the case? It was quite a limitation.
