I think it was iOS 13 that finally didn’t make animations block user interactions - you could click icons as a folder animated open etc.
Seems like 14 might have broken this. Even if I tap an icon after a folder opens it won’t always work if i’m too fast. I have to wait for it to fully open and then tap. So end up tapping icons twice.
