Folder Arrangement similar to Windows 'list'?

Hi guys Ive recently got a iMac this week and liking to so far. One little niggle I have when moving over to windows is that I have an external HDD that has alot of files in it, and Ill need to be able to view as much files on screen at once. But the list only seems to be appearing on one column leaving alot of screen real estate. Is there anyway for it to appear like a windows 'list'?

Yup - set it to icons rather than list (the leftmost option on the toolbar), then you get a little slider at the bottom where you can set the icon size (don't get that in Windows!)

You can also use Cog > Keep Arranged By to sort things the way you want

But remember - this is not Windows & every OS does things a little different. Some better, some not so, many down to personal preference.

So revel in the little differences ... in fact Vive la difference! as our French cousins would say
