Folder Keeps losing Permission - Lion

I keep two external drives in sync with Chronosync. The last time I had to show hidden files and give myself permission (read&write) to be able to back up a file - /Volume/HardDriveName/.DocumentsRevisions-V100

I tried a backup a few minutes ago and I had to give myself permission again because listed as "custom"

Any idea why this is?
