Apologies if this has been asked before - I am a ipad newbie. I have downloaded Dropbox onto my ipad and hence a number of folders (that contain multiple files). When I go into Dropbox (the icon on my ipad) and click on a file it seems to go online to stream/play the file. What I would like to do is 'copy' these folders/with their files from 'Dropbox' to my Home Screen. I.e. physically download the files from Dropbox in the cloud to the ipad home screen so they can be played natively. (I have a very very slow internet connection - streaming is not good enough). Can the ipad do this? Many thanks.

I don’t think it possible to download in that way but I could be wrong. In the past I have always moved files via iTunes for that type of storage.

How about making the file available offline within the Dropbox app? This can be done by pressing the down arrow next to the file. It will download the file and then it should* be available offline.

*should because the app seems a bit flakey on this.
