Folders appear empty?

Today i've noticed a lot of my folders are appearing as empty.
eg, in my Documents folder I have lots of other folders, one entitled "Magazines". When I click on Magazines nothing happens, the files within it are not shown. However, when I search for a file in Spotlight that I know is in the Magazine folder it finds it a shows the path as being in Magazines!

This is repeated for lots of other folders.

I've repaired permissions and restarted my MBP.

Any ideas?

Try re-indexing your drive.
