So I have my calendar in a folder, hoping that I could always just look to see the date. Now when the folder is open, it shows to correct date, but when the folder is closed, it shows the date I made the folders. Does this happen for anyone else/does anyone know how to fix it without removing the calendar app from the folder?

Notice how the dates are different:

The folder icon is static, it only updates when the folder is updated ... e.g. you add or remove an app.

So having the calendar app sit in there purely to show the date is basically a waste, unless I remove/add it everyday? Awesome.

Yeah, I'm trying it. I had nothing on my home screen, just all on the dock. But I'll see how I like this. Thanks!

How? Because I would much rather leave it in a folder since I only use it to know the date.

I think it only shows correctly after switching the phone off and then on
