Hello,

I just discovered www.foldershare.com which should take away all my worries with networking my PC XP Home and my Mac, since I'm still having problems getting it to work.

I want to know if anyone has found a guide to syncing info on my macbook pro to my external HD (connected to my pc) via the internet.

Can you sync only some files? Any problems with folder share?

Who has experience with it?

www.foldershare.com

Thanks!!!

only problem i have had with foldershare is that it wont load on one ibook.

im not sure i understand your question. what exactly is the problem?

I've used FS extensively since before they were acquired by Microsoft. I sync my MBP to my home Win XP machine, my photos to my parents, my brother, etc. with no issues. I would think that once you set up both machines with the FS software and specify the folder to sync (on the "source" or master machine), you could then create a folder on the ext hard drive and point foldershare at that... Essentially when FS asks what folder to sync with, give it a folder on the ext HD.

cool, now all i need is a lenovo solar powered / low power desktop too keep a pc online at all times!!!!
