What kind of PPD can we expect?

Hopefully some of you guys will puts its power to the MaCrumors Folding effort!

Any chance to use the WINE GPU Folding on Mac OS X?

I think the GPU is the only thing stopping me from getting a Mac Pro for Folding. Is is annoying a $200 video card can produce more PPD than a $6k machine.

SETI results would be fantastic too.

The last I've checked, one of those anonymous crunchers with a 2.26GHz Octo churns out a 42-cobblestone SETI WU at around 8500 seconds as opposed to the previous 2.8GHz Octo averaging 7700 seconds on the same WU credits. And I'm talking about stock clients, not optimised clients. But I do wonder if the extra HT cores would compensate on that.

So far, I've only identified one cruncher using 2.26GHz Octo on SETI, and two on Einstein, each on 2.26GHz and 2.93GHz respectively.

Out of curiosity,as I dont know ***** about ***** : but what is the estimated energy expenditure of a single day of private seti crunching?

I get it that institutions and such lend their time as their computers are running anyway, but has anyone calculated how much the "volunteer" force is using energy per daycycle?
