So after watching yet another psychogamer video I've decided to purchase an STM Grip, but it raises an interesting question for me.
I fly a lot for work, have never used a case-that-folds-into-a-stand before. I'm concerned that because of it's depth (whole cover sits flat) it'll take up too much tray table space and/or be pushed too far forward making for a bad movie viewing angle. Any thoughts from those who've flown with these types of case-stands and how they function specifically at 30,000 feet in a crowded coach seat on a regional jet?
For my iPad 1 I've used a stand that was very slim, so I was able to push it to the far edge of the tray table, practically leaning into the seatback in front of me. Gives me room to set down my meal and allows for a good viewing angle. I bought the Smart Cover specifically for this purpose as it takes up only 2" of tray table space. Something like the STM Grip looks like a great travel companion, but looks like it may compromise the viewing angle and tray space which is a big ask for a frequent flyer.
Anyone have experiences they can share?
