It seems people in my address book on my iMac are getting spam mail that purports to be from me. The amount of mail with my name on it is growing fast.
I think I have been hacked, where to I start to stop these mails? Is there anything I can do?

My network operates on a authorised MAC address basis, so I thought with this and the firewall I would be safe,,,

help please anyone?

Your email account has been hacked, not your Mac. Change your email account password to something complex, using upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters.

Thank you both so much, I will take your advice immediately.
Thank again.
