macrumors newbie
so i already asked in a previous thread about if the screen can handle water so i want to ask a similar question would grease or oil from food damage the screen or cream such as cerave or gold bond or Ofloxacin otic solution ear drops my paranoia has been flairing up and i just need to know sorry for the trouble.

If contact is only briefly, water, cooking oil, grease should all be fine. If for long term, none of the above would be safe for iPad to handle. Anything corrosive is also not good.
Besides, if you intend to use iPad in a dirty environment, you need to consider using a special case or find something else that suits your needs better.

So if i wipe the screen off after i am done will it be fine or should i stick to my excessive hand washing since i am going on a trip soon where my water is limited and this will be my main device so i want to get all my facts straight.
