Font display error when it should display a plain text font

Hi,

I have tried emptying my font caches and troubleshooting this for a while. I'm not sure how to find out what is causing this weird font display error on my Mac Pro. I attached a screen capture of a note from Evernote that should simply say "BlueCross Blueshild of California" but it shows all garbled when displayed.

Any ideas?
