Font issue

I have the font Century Gothic installed in my iMac. I have had this font and used it for a long time. Now all of a sudden I can't use it and all my files using it crash illustrator. I tried to unistall and reinstall but nothing.

Maybe I am missing a step in doing this? like a preference I should delete?
