I have this issue after downloading Microsoft Office
I lost Times font, so everything has changed specially in Safari font
the font is being bigger and i cannot change it to be small
and in Arabic, it's a huge miss

Could anyone help me finding Times to download it
or give me a suggestion to solve this issue

:eek::eek:

Are you sure you lost the Times font? How would this have happened?

You could try running the Font Book program in your Applications folder. Search on "Times" and look for duplicate copies. Or maybe MS installed a corrupt font or something. I think Font Book places a yellow "caution" icon next to fonts that are duplicates. Right clicking on the font lets you choose the "Reveal in Finder" option so you can see where the font is. Try disabling conflicting fonts to see if that helps (also a right-click option).

Good luck, let us know how it goes.

Thanx for your response

I could not find it
Should I remove all Microsoft Office's fonts ?

No, don't remove all Microsoft's fonts.

I don't understand your short answer. You could not find what, under what context?

I checked in Font Book and my Microsoft fonts are grouped together in a folder, in /Library/Fonts/Microsoft. I doubt they are doing any harm there. Did you run Font Book and search for Times?

If you have somehow deleted your Times font I can send you one from my system, but I don't see how a font suddenly disappeared by itself.

I suggest you clear your font caches, in case the corruption is there.

Open Terminal (in Utilities) and enter the following command:

Code:
atsutil databases -removeUser

Then (for simplicity) restart your computer and try Safari again.

smirk, i did search for Times in Font Book but i did not find it

I asked my friend to send me Times, and he did

it solved my issue but still having problem in Arabic fonts
so i think solving this issue by reinstall Font Book, can I ?

LPZ, thanx for your response, I did what you suggested but it did not make sense at all

No, reinstalling Font Book won't do anything, any more than reinstalling Word would fix a missing Word document. Font Book is just a tool to help you manage fonts on your system. It seems that some of your fonts were somehow deleted off your system. Did you do anything at one time that could have done this?
