I am having problems with my MacMini not wanting to load fonts that are in FontBook. I have spent the last day and a half fighting this problem but I have ran out of ideas at this point.

I have a few sets of fonts that I use on a magazine that I lay out each month. But this month when I started to work on the magazine the fonts would not load, even though they show that they are active in FontBook.

I work on this project on both my Mini and my MBP (both running 10.9.4) and the MBP has no problems in loading the fonts, I have even copied the fonts from my MBP to my Mini but they still won't work.

The only thing that has changed from a month ago was I upgraded my Mini to 10.9.4. What are the odds that my FontBook is corrupt?

***Update - I installed a trial of Fusion 5 and I can now activate and deactivate fonts. I guess my FontBook is the problem. Any ideas on how to fix this issue.

Thanks in advance.

A fresh reinstall will work...
