Font rendering in PDF files

Hi everyone,

I noticed that PDFs generated by LaTeX seem to be blurry when viewed with Preview on Yosemite but are much better when viewed with say, Chrome. See here - http://imgur.com/a/nPX0H. I didn't have a similar issue with Mavericks. Has anyone else experienced anything similar or know what I might do to improve the situation?
