Unless Apple has some new better smoothed fonts under their sleeve some may find this is a detriment and not an improvement:

With Jaguar and Panther, the smoothed fonts I've read use blue and green pixels which could be a problem for people with color blindness. I've sent an e-mail to Tinkertool's author and Mac OS X feedback saying that font smoothing if anything should not be automatic, but entirely optional as it was in Mac OS 9. Some may find font smoothing is clear, but others may find it is blury depending on the uniqueness of their eyesight. If you agree please let Tinkertool's author know, and send Apple feedback at the address below:
