Hey all, had to re-register since I lost my password/login for my old account and no longer have access to my email.

Anyways I do graphic design, so I installed a bunch of fonts the other week then had to clean up a bunch of duplicates. Problem is I erased all my Arial fonts. I then got the fonts back over off my 13" MBP.

Anyways now when I'm in some programs, Microsoft Excel for instance, as well as 90% of forums my font is now all bold, is super annoying to read forums with all bold font.

Anyone have any suggestions on this? Ive gone into my browser settings and default is set to times.

See a screenshot here:

Thanks!

How did you install the fonts and what part of the system?
Macintosh HD > Library > Fonts
Macintosh HD > Username > Library > Fonts?

If anything try an Archive and Install see if that might clear them out.

hey I took a prntscreen of my font settings (in safari) just to make sure we have the same settings.

pretty sure its just in the library not username.

it does it in chrome, firefox and safari so its not a browser issue.

hurmmm

Yep you put it in the system library which is risky as thats where all the fonts the system references for all apps.

It's safer to put them in the Username > Library > Fonts folder.

Id move the fonts to the trash and perform a archive & install to put the files back in place and you should be set.
