Fonts in OSX appearing too thin..

As you can see here:

Where it says System Preferences the font is very thin and anti-aliased. It never used to be like this it just happened today. Its like this for all fonts in OSX.

How do I fix this?
 
In the Appearance panel of System Preferences, you can try different font smoothing styles. You may need to restart programs to get the changes to appear. (ctrl-option-click on the Finder's dock icon and restart that for a quick check)
