After a month or so of trying to figure out what has happened to my Mac Pro, I've narrowed it down to the fact that the new Adobe CS3 programs don't play well with my existing fonts. Finally, after removing (literally) all but the system fonts, I've gotten Illustrator and InDesign to function without crashing. Of course as a graphic designer, it would be nice to be able to use various fonts. I guess I could go into doing labels for "Generic" products where only one font is required. I'll keep my fingers crossed that Adobe will, some day soon, get around to fixing this latest problem.
