Hi,

I'm planning on buying a new 27" iMac most likely with the VESA wall mount.

To my understanding there is no way to attach an original iMac foot to this configuration if I ever want to not wall mount the iMac. Are there any other 3rd party foots that would be usable?

Cheers,

Johannes

sooo,
the 27" iMac VESA is 8,7 kg with 100x100 mounting standart

you can attach the iMac to the wall:

or you can attach the iMac to the TOP wall:

or just let it stand with a stand on your desktop:

or mount it with screws to your desktop table:

im thinking about the normal stand, so you can still decide later maby to mount it to the wall, with an normal monitor stand with 100x100 vesa and the weight requirements you can adiust the imac like you wish :)

you can purchase an original 27" stand on ebay, but you need to take the iMac apart, and remove the logic board (and void the warranty) in order to install it. an authorized apple service center should be able to do it for you and keep the mac under warranty, but for a fee.
