I am not gonna upgrade just yet, but I am curious about Alfred since I use it a lot to boost my productivity. Have you replaced it with Spotlight?

LaunchBar, Alfred, Raycast, and Spotlight might seem they have a lot of overlap yet they each offer something unique. Some may find one enough; I use them all.

How do you use each of them?
Perhaps try each and you'll discover. :) Each may overlap with many common features yet have others unique or done in their own way. For example, just as Spotlight can show search results inline for contacts, files, bookmarks, and so forth, people have created workflows for Alfred such that one can search Wikipedia, IMDB, some dictionary web site, menu items of the current app one is using, and so forth, and then display results. Much more can be done; such depends on you perhaps discovering such and deciding if it's useful.

I can't speak to LaunchBar, but I do have Raycast and Alfred installed in addition to Spotlight. I tend to use each app for different purposes, as each one has its own idiosyncrasies which lead to certain elements working better for my personal workflow.

Yes each works in their own way so even for some feature that may be in all apps, you may prefer one over the other; and each app offers something unique. If one finds any one of them useful, it's very possible one may find others helpful as well.

if spotlight can do the same hot key app launching as raycast I'll be happy to switch

so far yes. I intend to put some effort in to seeing if spotlight can do everything I use Alfred for

I'd be surprised if it can but we shall see

When I will able to SSH directly from Spotlight (like Alfred) I will start using it.
Also when I can bind keywords for specified action - but this will be possible I think.

Apparently the clipboard manager doesn't retain entries for long, which is not great for me.
If you're using Alfred, that clipboard manager also allows you to store file lists as well as text and images you've copied.

The new Spotlight in Tahoe is a step in the right direction and will likely be useful to many macOS users, but as you've found, its clipboard manager is not really as advanced as other third-party tools.

Do you mean Alfred with or without the paid Powerpack features? Alfred is a very different animal with those Powerpack features enabled. Clipboard history, workflows, file navigation, custom theming...
