For all the DJs, how to record Serato SL1 with macbook pro?

im trying to record a demo. i use serato scratch live and SL1. i know you can use garage band to record the mix, but how do i hook up to let the laptop record? i know its bad to plug to the mic-in port on the side of the laptop.

what would i need?

you need en external soundcard.

any recommendations? are they all USB port powered external sound card? i went to Frys, and didnt find anything with a line in on the external sound card.

isnt that just a program to record audio? im looking for some kind of hardware of any work arounds to plug in to record.

any decent audio interface with a few ins & outs will work

maudio's are inexpensive and I've used them before with various programs ie. protools, ableton etc...
