I upgraded from the 2G iPhone to the 3GS on Friday morning. I was so pumped to be able to experience 3G and all the other bells and whistles that the 2G didn't have.
I used to get 4 bars on my 2G iPhone sitting in my chair at the house. When I got the 3GS home and saw zero bars I started to wonder. I waited it out a day to see if anything would change. It didn't get better.
I was also having issues with apps not working and apps not even transferring from iTunes to my phone.
But what really annoyed me the most is that every 15 minutes or so, my phone would stop responding to me touching the screen. It would not respond to any touching motion but it would take me to spotlight if I hit the home button so I knew it wasn't freezing up. I was almost on the verge of taking it back.
I finally plugged it into iTunes last night and did a back up, then a full restore.
I am happy to say that i have not experienced any of the above mentioned problems. I now get 5 full bars sitting in my chair.
How many people here complaining of problems have actually done a restore?
