Sometimes you don't even need Photoshop:D

Let's all try to be a little more friendly in how we ask for evidence?:)

A: What? People ask for pictures for many reason, which I'll detail below*
B: Why is this posted in the iPhone forums?

*1. If it's problem related, a picture can greatly help people deduce what's wrong with a machine, ie, if someone says the bottom right of my imac display is blurred, people can't help, but if they post a picture, low and behold, its the condensation issue.

2. Pictures are quite difficult to photoshop well, you could spend hours photoshopping someone, only to have it ripped apart in seconds by eagle eye users (much like with ipod mockups).

3. Pictures and film are still the best forms of evidence around, I'm not sure at what specific thread your post is aimed at, but still, there was probably a reason why people asked for "evidence"...

Also that the writing on from too many posters on this forum is incomprehensible. And that's not even counting the posts from people whose native/primary language is not English.

As the OP's gone offline, I guess we'll never know...

Oh yes you will:)

Largely just a (hopefully) humorous reference to the often hostile hounding by some posters of others who have posted complaints/criticisms of Apple products - the "pics or didn't happen" phrase is just one I selected to point out that sometimes pics are worthless and deriding posters in a hostile fashion isn't really useful or welcoming.

Whilst I can't say it's happened to me, it does appear to me that sometimes the level of hostility and the impugning of posters integrity on macrumors forums detracts hugely from both the community spirit and the usefulness of the forums.

As to the comments on English - well, it's a US based site and it is in English so chances are most users speak English, but I've seen extremely rude criticisms of authors who clearly do not have English as their first language - which seems a bit harsh given that the Internet itself is mostly global. After all, how many of us can write a foreign language especially a non-Latin derived one such as Cantonese?

Of course, pics are often useful - I was just using this phrase as an example of the harsh treatment some posters give others.

End of sermon:D

I would take it that the OP has seen a lot of threads of "gimme a pic or I won't believe it" posts. With the pic used, he/she is offering one so to speak, that says, yes I did see and meet a fairy or pixie.

I think I see Nessy hiding behind a tree in the background... Could be wrong..
