Wow i had a the 13" MBP and was getting the beach ball all the time for the last few weeks. I just upgraded to the GM Snow Leopard and its lightning quick. Its the best OS improvement ever everything works perfect!

There is nothing wrong with what you posted. Maybe some just feel that you are posting for the sake of bragging since Snow Leopard is not available to all at this point in time.

no bragging, just wanted to point out that it does fix the sluggish hdd and beach ball issue and that it is not hardware related but prob just due to that firmware update that messed everything up.

I don't know what's slow for you. I've had a 2006 15.4" MBP since ... well 2006, and I've had a few minor problems and out of no where an AppleCare specialist decided to replace it with a brand new uMBP. I've only had it for about a week and let this thing is screaming compared to my 2006 model. So if what you're saying is true, I don't know what i'll do with all that speed! haha.

sweet, my mid 09 mbp has been taking a crap on me ever since the 1.7 firmware update....hopefully this will fix my problems

hey apple! hurry up with SL!

I just picked up my new 13" MBP about... 35 minutes ago, and it's GREAT! But it will be EVEN better once UPS gets here with my Intel X-25 :D

I really like how the members of this forum act like NSA interrogators when some one is kind enough to provide info that they don't know. It's the very same people that would be bummed if apple lowered their prices and increased its user base. Take it easy.

Not as bad when you come on here when using pirated software, EVERYBODY jumps on that like they're saints and haven't done it before. But at the end, it's just precautionary measures. Sites/forums like this can get in trouble (big or small) and seeing how it's a pretty big community here, it's better to keep things that are behind the scenes, behind the scenes.

na my buddy works there. he showed me it in this system....although they dont have them yet....rogers still carries it.

good enough for me

Which is cool, not going to argue that since there has been rumors flying but that still doesn't explain the fact that OP basically states as having one in his signature. Unless he's some tester or has some high connections with Apple (doubt it though) it's not possible to have an 8GB iPhone 3GS.

EDIT: ...and never mind. Looks like OP changed it to 16GB 3GS

Some people here think they know everything...
