Hi,

I imagine there is an active MS WORD Group somewhere, but can't find it.
You folks seem to know "most everything," so let me please take the liberty of asking this here:

With MS WORD, the automatic formatting is driving me crazy.
Can seem to find any was of disabling ALL of it.

I want to be able to simply use the tabs, space bar, etc., etc. myself.
I'll select and put all of this in.

I don't want any "added intelligence" for the doc I am typing.

How do i clear all this, it must be optional I imagine ? And to make this "no added formatting" the Default from now on ?

You do this by creating your own paragraph and character styles. If you haven’t explored these already, there are already some very stripped-down options in the default lists. If they don’t meet your needs, create your own.

If you don’t want to use any form of styles, however, I wonder if you might be better served with a plain text editor?
