For anyone with a LOCKED AT&T 5s (no "No SIM" message?)

This is only for folks with a LOCKED AT&T iPhone 5s.

If you remove the sim card, does your phone immediately give you the "No SIM Card Installed" message?

For some reason, when I remove the SIM card on my locked 5s, it does not. The AT&T logo actually stays active for a few seconds before simply displaying "No service" in the carrier logo area.

It will not give me the "No SIM" message.

Worried that I may have a faulty SIM slot (could be a concern down the road), and wondering if this is only because the phone is carrier locked.
