Hi all.

I was wondering when looking for a new MBP/MBA.

What would be the best thing for a fast(er) Aperture (2)

Buy the CMBP 13'3 inch with the 2.9 I7

or the MBA 13'3 inch 1.8 I5 and SDD?

I will get 8 GB RAM

What would the best option and coming from a early 2008 core 2 duo 2.1 will I see day and night difference so no more lags what so ever in Aperture?

if it's between those two machines , get the I7 2.9 ... buy your own SSD ( at least 256 G) , clone your drive and swap the spindle drive to the ultradrive bay.. Then you have a machine that's more than capable processor wise, plus your OS and aperture catalog on an SSD , plus the memory ( Aperture will grab as much memory as it can.. ) ... argument for the cMBP is that it's expandable. You could even go up to 16 G memory ..
You will notice a difference with either machine and the one you're running now, but keep the storage needs in mind .. 128 G is , IMHO, not enough for Aperture and the other stuff .. If you're shooting Raw, you're looking at the need for many G/Terabyte storage for the masters anyway ..
