I don't know, but you can hear the supercharger or turbocharger kick in and it looks like the transmission might rip the chassis in two.

the timer flashes what looks like a 7.36

They're speaking Norwegian. A burp means pedal in Norwegian. ;) Just kidding.

1033HP to be exact, according to the commentator.

Thanks for the translation. Such a weird mix of German and Scandinavian languages that is. I speak a bit of German and I can almost understand like every tenth word. :D

Sounds like a turbo.

I wonder what kind of gas mileage it gets on the highway.

You could probably make it from fuel exit to fuel exit... but barely. Of course, at those speeds you could make up for the time you lose to the pit stops. Not by much, though. :D

If the vehicle was used as a daily driver, on the highway. That's what I'm curious about.

I have a friend who used to drive his modded 700+ horsepower RX-7 to and from work. Although I don't recall what kind of mileage it got.

Well as long as you stayed away from any crazy acceleration, I would imagine you might get about 17mpg or so. It just doesn't seem like you could do much to tame an engine that can push 1000 HP.

Yeah, that didn't sound good AT ALL.

4WD would help... :D

1000 horses is too much for a 2WD car, the scary thing is that that M5 loses a good second on the startline alone, and probably more.
