There may still be hope.
I ordered two iPhones on AT&T's site yesterday at 7:00 a.m., and completed the section about porting our numbers. Received a confirmation e-mail right away, but almost 30 hours later the "order status" page still isn't recognizing my order number.
Well, I received an e-mail this morning saying that my number transfer request had been received, and a check on the site showed the porting is complete. I initiated a "chat" session, and the rep said that since my number has been ported it's safe to say that I do have an existing order, and that it will take up to 48 hours to process the order.
So hang in there, everyone.
