Because of an upgrade transfer issue which is too complicated to explain here, the only way I can get an iPhone 5 is either by buying from a Verizon store or ordering from the Verizon website (verizonwireless.com).
All Verizon stores within a 500-mile radius of where I live are out of iPhone 5's, according to one Verizon rep. I called up several nearby Verizon stores and they said the earliest available date is 10/19-10/25. If I try to order one online it says "ship by 10/19."
Anyone else having these issues? Btw I live in the Washington DC area. I don't know what's going on with the stores around here.
