Just seeking outside opinion since I keep going back and forth myself.

I wear my Apple Watch daily, but my primary use case for it is as a running watch (I run 70-100 miles/week). I (exactly two weeks ago - thus the end of my return period!) bought the Natural Titanium color. However, I had to go by the Apple Store for an unrelated issue and saw the Slate Ti model and… wow! I really dig it. Slightly less formal, maybe, but it looked a little more like a sports watch.

Does anyone have any input? Any photos? I know this is a personal choice (the models are otherwise identical!) but I’m still curious as to what you think.

same boat. Use the watch for running. I have the slate titanium. Excellent choice. I have a sport band, sport loop, and link bracelet.

Nail on the head. Very versatile.

My first thought when I saw the thread title was, you aren't looking at the color of your watch when you are running! :D

But reading your post, it sounds like running has little to do with this. You like the slate color, but think it might be too informal. I really don't have much insight into that, as I have little experience with formal wear. I suppose the darker color might clash with some fabrics? But how often are you in situations where such considerations matter?

If you like the slate color, and it matches your current wardrobe and lifestyle, then just go for it -- no need to tell yourself it's for running.

I've previously only ever really used the natural (silver) stainless model, because of the ability to buff out scratches (which, admittedly, I very rarely did... but it was nice to know it existed!). I went with natural Ti almost out of habit, but since I've read you can't buff our scratches from the Titanium... I'm thinking I might go black!

The biggest "miss" would be my stainless Link Bracelet, but I truthfully don't wear it often - and I could pick up a black model instead (likely third-party)...
