Timex makes a decent mount for their watch. I don't have it yet, but what I like about this product is how simple and effective it is, and it's only 14USD. It looks like it will absorb all the micro vibrations fine. It's one big damper.

If you rather have it on the bar, and still want HRM, Polar makes a Bluetooth strap for 50USD. Don't be surprised if these get sold out suddenly this summer. ;)

My understanding is that the Watch only works when it is on your wrist. Perhaps that is a setting that can be configured?
