For those of you who experience micro stutter o random popping noises with Homepod and Apple TV...

So, pretty much since the Home Theater feature was introduced with IOS 14.2, I´ve been experiencing random crackling and popping noises when using the Homepods as the default audio output of the Apple TV 4K. And also, very occasionally, micro drop outs or audio stutter while watching content (particularly Atmos content).

Well, this finally fixed for me: Go to settings, video and audio, and scroll all the way down until you see audio mode (not audio format, which should be in auto for the best sound quality), and changed it from automatic to 16bit.

Thats it. Problem solved.

I wasn't getting pops, but I was getting these drop outs over the last two months occasionally. they were so quick I was the only one noticing them but it seems to have solved the problem after a couple hours use!
