Does the Finder perform better than Leopard? Now that the Finder has be rewritten, do you notice it crashes less? Faster? Work with networked computers better? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

But the thumbnails are also cached locally in 10.6, as opposed to being dynamically rendered upon folder open. To be honest, I think that I would rather have them as dynamic, as I don't really appreciate the hackiness of having a bunch of hidden, cryptically named, constantly amassing cache and/or metadata files all over the place.

But the Finder is really 64bit and it does seem to yield better file transfer throughput rates.
