Is IOS 7 more of a glorified IOS6 up date or is it moving more towards an OSX derivative

I also should ask the same question is the new Mavericks OS moving towards and IOS operating system?

I'm no expert but over the last year or two it seems the focus is on bells and whistles and by doing such are less efficient

iOS 7 is in no way working towards OS X. It is just an overhaul of the UI we see in iOS 6 and added features that you don't see in iOS 7.

Neither. It's a complete overhaul of the user interface with a bunch of new features. It all functions the same but everything has a new look.
