For those with an AT&T iPhone considering a Wifi iPad

Apologies to the mods if this has been noted before, but I hadn't seen this in the iPad forum and it is relevant to those choosing a 3G vs Wifi-only ipad if their intent is to leverage an existing iphone data plan.

The following part quoted from that article is something to take note of IMHO:

If we don't hear from you, we'll plan to automatically enroll you into DataPro 4GB after March 27, 2011. The new plan - whether you sign up on your own or we automatically enroll you - will replace your current smartphone data plan, including if you are on an unlimited data plan.

Not surprising

I got a "crackdown" message when I was doing a test to see if my iPhone 4 sim would work in the AT&T iPad 2. Was never planning on using that swap long term; I just wanted to see if it could be done. All I did was visit google.com one time. It worked. But crackdown email and text came shortly thereafter
