Trying to create usb flash drive Sequoia install stick for Mac Mini M4. Using only other mac I have, (2009 Mac Pro booting Monterey 12.7.3 via open core boot loader). I have the InstallAssistant.pkg and when I run it, it tells me I need at least MacOS 14 Sonoma. My Mac Pro can't upgrade any farther then Monterey.

I used pkgutil and --expand to the desktop

When I explore the Expanded Directory I can't find anywhere a "distribution verification" file to change to return true.

Can some Terminal command install and override the vilification code?
Any thoughts and suggestions much appreciated.

Well... I've installed Mist. Seems like a great tool to have. However, I'm afraid it will fail one of the verifications, because of MacOs Monterey on my 2009 Mac Pro. Downloading is not the problem. The problem is getting through the verification process; once the sequoia app is installed in my Applications directory, I can run in terminal the script to create the bootable install stick.

Turns out I ran into another/different issue with Mist. I had to cancel the download, because for whatever reason it kept going beyond 100%.
Looked under "issues" on the GitHub page for Mist and someone else had run into it as well.
