I’m on holiday. Yesterday I discovered that the Internet was down at home meaning I couldn’t remotely log in. I chatted with the ISP. They promised to get right on it. The easiest way for me to check if he Internet is back up is to check my webcam. If the Internet is up then my webcam will upload a new image to my web host every few minutes. I kept checking but Safari kept displaying the last image uploaded before the Internet went down. Eventually I got email sent by a process on my home iMac. The Internet was up, but Safari refused to reload the page with a newer image. I checked with Firefox and, sure enough, new images were uploading.

There used to be a way to empty caches, but that seems to have been replaced by Erase All Website Data. I tried that, but Safari stubbornly insisted on continuing to display the day-old image.

is there any way to force Safari to reload a page?
