Force Quit = All my addresses are deleted! Can anyone help?

Hi!

I am trying to help a friend out. She was adding 10 new addresses to her address book when the beach ball locked on and she had to do a force quit -- but when she reopened, all of her addresses were gone.

Does anyone know what happened, and is there a way to reverse this?

Okay, get her to open the Application Support in her Home Library. Within this should be a folder named AddressBook which contains a file named AddressBook.data. Drag this file to the Desktop when Address Book is closed. Now, there's also a file named AddressBook.data.previous. Rename this file to AddressBook.data and reopen Address Book. Are the addresses back?
