Hey guys,

When I force reset my iPod (holding down both sleep and home for 10 sec), it will always end up putting the iPod in restore mode.....

Luckily I used iBrickr to get it out of restore mode. However, I tried the reset combo (just to doublecheck) again, and it resulted in the same thing. What's up with that?

Ok, heres what it does.

1. I begin holding down home and sleep.
2. After about 10 seconds, it turns off and the apple logo appears...I immediately let go of both buttons at the same time.
3. I wait.....the apple logo stays for about 20-30 seconds and then the screen turns off (like it was rebooted again or something), and then the apple logo appears for about 5 seconds, and THEN goes to the connect to iTunes logo (recovery mode).

It does this EVERY time I do a force reset.... I then have to go into iBrickr to get it back. What gives???

do you have it plugged into your computer? if so, then it will probably try to bring up restore mode from there. when itunes opens, assuming it does, tell itunes not to connect with the machine connected, eject it and then disconnect the ipod. then try hard reset again.

i hope this helps but i am quite sure i have nothing of good advice to give.
