I've got an issue with HP scan to network share - it doesn't like the credentials (even though the share is accessible from both a Mac and Windows machine...)

The supplier is saying that its a known issue with Apple's implementation of SMB v3. To prove/disprove this, is there anyway to temporarily force the share back to using SMB v2?

Thanks

instead of:

smb://

try:

cifs://

As Apple keeps massaging their SMB implementation, it can vary by OS. Check out this write up back for 10.10.

More info here, plus a possible solution. Have not tried this one myself.

Longer write up here, good options if you are comfortable with CLI.
