So I'm on my new rMBP 13" just cruising online and youtube when my entire computer just froze and a weird sound was coming out of the speakers; sort of a clicking sound over and over again.

I tried pressing down on the trackpad but it wouldn't respond...no tactile feedback...nothing. I held the power button down and forced a restart.

Anyone else having this issue?

It's an rMBP, I don't see why it doesn't belonghere.

It sounds more like the whole Mac crashed, not just the trackpad. If it happens again, I would check the console for any log messages.

Yeah...that's the plan, it just seemed odd. Yes the entire thing froze, the mouse wouldn't move on screen and there was no feedback from anything. The weird part was the weird sound coming out of the speakers, it almost sounded like a "speaker pop" over and over again...I should've taken video.

The speaker popping thing is because it's looping it over and over again. That's usually a symptom of a kernel panic.
